UPDEED Fellowship
Build the achievement universities reward.
Help your child turn serious interests into finished, verifiable work—with a specialist mentor who has done it themselves.

Proven student work
Outcomes you can inspect.
Specialist mentors across 50+ research domains
Ways to build: research, venture, impact or engineering
Why UPDEED
Why families choose
the Fellowship
Finished, verifiable work
Not a certificate or classroom exercise. Fellows finish with evidence admissions teams can inspect: a paper, venture, deployed project or working product.
A field-matched specialist
Each student works 1:1 with a mentor selected for the exact discipline and outcome—not whoever happens to be available.
Guidance through every milestone
Weekly working sessions, direct feedback and a clear roadmap move the project from an early idea to finished, credible work.
What becomes possible
Your child can build
work that travels.
Sadaf began with an interest in AI but no research experience or academic connections. With UPDEED, she built first-author research, published in IEEE and developed a profile recognised by leading universities.
“The research paper changed everything. I went from competitive to unforgettable.”

Common questions
What parents ask
before starting
Does my child need prior research experience?
No. Most fellows begin with none. We start by identifying the right question or problem, then teach the method needed to build the work properly.
Who will my child work with?
We match each fellow with a specialist mentor in the relevant field. UPDEED has a network of 100+ mentors across more than 50 research domains.
What subjects and projects are possible?
Students can pursue research, entrepreneurship, social impact or engineering across fields including AI, biomedical engineering, physics, materials, environmental science, neuroscience and economics.
How long does the Fellowship take?
The full programme typically runs for 4–9 months, depending on project scope and any external review or publication timelines.
How is this different from a summer programme?
Summer programmes often end with attendance or a certificate. UPDEED is organised around a finished outcome that can be published, launched, deployed or demonstrated.
What can a student finish with?
The outcome depends on the selected stream: a submission-ready paper, launched venture, measured impact project or tested engineering product, supported by evidence of the work.
